Elmarko Jackson Visits Miami
Miami hosted 2023 4 star guard Elmarko Jackson from Richland, New Jersey over the weekend. The 6’3 guard has has seen his stock rise of late, he recently shot up from a border top 100 recruit to a top 40 recruit across most major recruiting services.
Although he is a great playmaker, what really sticks out to me are his scoring ability and his defensive intensity. He thrives in transition and can finish through contact using both hands. Jackson has an elite ability to create space to get a jumper off and has a lethal step-back jumpshot. Defensively, his lacrosse background really shows through with the physicality and toughness he plays with. Jackson has the potential to be one of the best two-way players out of this recruiting class, he would be a huge get for Miami.
For those that don't know, Elmarko Jackson is super fast and pretty damn good in transition, finishing with both hands and having great handles https://t.co/VtoLG8z9W7 pic.twitter.com/4TIFcmuY4F

Elmarko Jackson released a top 11 on August 17th which included Miami along with schools like Kansas, Virginia, Texas, Villanova, UCLA, and Michigan. There are obviously a lot of major players in this recruitment, but Miami shouldn’t be counted out when you factor in Coach L’s previous success recruiting the Northeast area and the possibility of NIL.
