OBSERVATIONS

Rotation shrunk by a decent amount in the OBB snap counts Southern Miss, as expected.  On offense, we saw the return of Jaylon “The Rooster” Knighton in a limited capacity.  Henry Parrish Jr. was the lead back, again. Garnering twice as many snaps as Thad Franklin. On defense, the rotation at the corner back position was the tightest on this side of the ball, with only three guys getting double digit snaps. Only two true freshmen played in this game, Wesley Bissainthe and Nyjalik Kelly.  I would expect to see their snap counts continue to increase as the season goes on. I would like to see more of Chase Smith at LB, along side Bissainthe.

I would expect the rotation to get tighter this week vs. Texas A&M with the coaches attempting to find the most impactful rotation of players.
