OBBL Florida Power Poll Week 4

The OBBL Florida Power Poll is going to be painful again. Five out of the seven teams in the OBBL Florida Power Poll lost last week. As always, we will see some movers and shakers and how far will your Miami Hurricanes fall after one of the most embarrassing losses since FIU. Speaking about FIU…..

#7 FIU Golden Panthers

UNCHANGED

Previous week #7

Record (1-2) Next Opponent: @ NM State When FIU beat Miami they were obviously going to turn the corner. The Coral Gables Kitty’s got blasted by Western Kentucky 73-0 and obviously the corner was turned straight into a wall. They are Week 4’s Cellar Dwellers and will more than likely take permanent residence there.

#6 USF Bulls

Previous Rank #5

Record (1-3) Next Opponent: vs. East Carolina. The Bulls now fall to 1-3 on the season as the Horns lost 41-3 at Louisville. The I4 west bandits have a horrible offense, it’s true. The non-Chicago Bulls managed 158 total yards on the road and managed only 11 first downs all game. They almost beat the Gators though, that has to count for something.

#5 Miami Hurricanes

Previous Rank #2

Record (2-2) Next Opponent: Bye Week. Mario Cristobal’s Hurricane honeymoon is over. The Hurricanes are week 4’s Stripper Award winner and slid faster down the poll than a greased up Tootsie’s employee. That is what happens when you lose to Middle Tennessee State 45-31 at home. The Hurricanes look to bounce back after the Bye and hopefully the Mac Brown curse was just a Manny thing.

#4 FAU Owls

Previous Rank #6

Record (2-3) Next Opponent: @ North Texas. N’Kosi Perry and the blow fish almost pulled off the upset on the road. The Owls still lost 28-26 to Purdue.  Perry slung another three touchdowns for the borough-ing birds. Must be nice. It also must be nice to lose and go up two spots. The Owls can thank Miami and USF’s horrible offense for that.

#3 Florida Gators

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #3

Record (2-2) Next Opponent: vs. Eastern Washington. Anthony Richardson threw some touchdowns this week. No kidding. The Lizards made it interesting after recovering an onside kick late but still lost 38-33 to the Tennessee Volunteers. The Vol’s offense torched the Gainesville group’s defense to the tune of 576 yards. I wonder if it involved four pass plays totaling 327 yards?

#2 UCF Knights

Previous Rank #3

Record (3-1) Next Opponent: vs. SMU. The Knights beat Georgia Tech  27-10 and got them to fire their Head Coach. Speaking of head coach, Rhett Lashlee and the Pony’s come into town. I wonder if him and TVD have dinner? You know, to catch up. The Knights are rolling after an earlier loss to Louisville this year and you can expect a ten win season at this rate.

#1 FSU Seminoles

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #1

Record (4-0) Next Opponent: vs. Wake Forrest. The Seminoles blasted Boston College 44-14 and remain in the top spot. Suddenly the 4th and 14 jokes aren’t so funny. Wake Forrest comes into town after an overtime thrilling loss to Clemson. Does the magical start to the tribe continue or does Mike Norvell reveal himself like he always does? Stay tuned.
