Miami Hurricane Offensive Breakdown vs. UNC

Show Notes

LEGENDARY. When TVD threw for almost 500 yards something had to be different right? The Miami Hurricanes didn’t beat the North Carolina Tar Heels but they definitely set the Tar Heel pass defense into the abyss in terms of ranking. The Miami Hurricanes did what Review U suggested and simply took what the defense gave them.

The Miami Hurricanes utilized some choice routes and gave the wide receivers and quarterback Tyler Van Dyke the opportunity to survey the field. Van Dyke looked so much more poised and in command in the passing game. If the opposing DB was in off coverage, the stayed underneath. Simple offense was the catalyst to get TVD comfortable.

Tyler Van Dyke threw for 496 yards and three touchdowns and tight end Will Mallory had eight catches for 115 yards. In all, TVD threw to nine different receivers with all of them having at least two catches. The Canes will now head to Blacksburg for a date with Virginia Tech on Saturday and try to snap their three-game losing streak.
