OBBL Florida Power Poll Week 6

The OBBL Florida Power Poll Week 6 doesn’t have a ton of movement this week. Despite the Miami Hurricanes being on a three game slide, the rest of the state keeps telling them to “Hold my beer.” Who are our movers and shakers this week? The theme of week six should simply be that of “UNCHANGED.”

#7 USF Bulls

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #7

Record (1-5) Next Opponent: vs. Tulane. The Bulls now clearly own the worst record in the state at 1-5. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades and losing close to Cincinnati 28-24 didn’t move them out of the cellar this week. Scoop’s troops apparently play closer games vs. better schools. Although the Bulls on parade won the turnover battle vs. the Bearcat manors, it wasn’t enough.

#6 FIU Golden Panthers

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #6

Record (2-3) Next Opponent: vs. UTSA  The Coral Gables Kitty’s lost to the Orlovsky Huskies 33-12. Even though FIU managed more yards than the puffed puppies 409-402, they got ran over to the tune of 295 rushing yards. However, If the golden felines of the 305 can beat UTSA they are CLEARLY better than Miami. MTSU beat the Hurricanes and UTSA (meep meep) beat MTSU. That is sound logic if you ask me.

#5 FAU Owls

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #5

Record (2-4) Next Opponent: vs. Rice. The bye week blues played a slow jam this week in Boca and Willie Taggart loves playing on the lead guitar. A quick check on the Coaches Hot Seat and slick Willie is almost in the top ten. (11) USF’s Jeff Scott is number one BTW in case anyone was wondering. Rice comes into town and let’s see how exactly N’kosi and the boys cook it this week.

#4 Miami Hurricanes

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #4

Record (2-3) Next Opponent: @ Virginia Tech. Mario Cristobal apparently called Manny Diaz on a bye week and asked for tips. The string of bye week losses continued for the Hurricanes who fell 27-24 to the North Carolina Tar Heels. TVD went off and threw for close to 5000 yards. OK, maybe a slight exaggeration but the performance was good enough to be the ACC QB of the week. The Hurricanes are in the midst of a three game losing streak but didn’t slide this week.

#3 FSU Seminoles

Previous Rank #2

Record (4-2) Next Opponent: vs #4 Clemson. The Tomahawk Tykes lost to #15 NC State 19-17 after Jordan Travis threw an illegitimate pass with a chance to win. That pass was even more illegitimate than a Targaryen baby. I laugh. After the fool’s gold of being in the top spot and all the FSU is back talk, the Noles are going to be staring at their own three game losing streak if not careful. The Dabo-led Tigers come into town and Mike Norvell is the leopard who won’t change his spots.

#2 Florida Gators

Previous Rank #3

Record (4-2) Next Opponent: vs. LSU. Anthony Richardson threw for 66 yards in the first quarter, I mean first half, (Checks Notes) I mean the entire game. UF however still beat Missouri 24-17. The Gators will now host the Non-Dabo-led Tigers as Brian Kelly and his rotating table of terror come to thwart the big lizards in the swamp.

#1 UCF Knights

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #1

Record (4-1) Next Opponent: vs. Temple. The Knights beat Rhett Lashlee 41-19 and improved to 4-1 on the season. 4-1 is the best record in the state of Florida and I just ordered my UCF “Beat SMU National Championship” t-shirt. It is a tri-blend classic and fits me wonderfully. You think Lashlee gave Gattis some tips when he was in town? “Listen pal, the running game is overrated.”
