Rueben Bain Lists the Miami Hurricanes in his Top 6.

The Miami Hurricanes have made the cut. 2023 local standout Rueben Bain named his top six programs on Social Media. The Miami Hurricanes round out a list that includes; Alabama, Auburn, Louisville, Oklahoma and rival Florida State.

Bain was a 2021 MaxPreps Junior All-American and was the Miami Herald 5A Co-Defensive Player of the Year. When 48.5 of your 60 tackles go for a loss, those sort of awards find you. The Hurricanes have a family connection with the Miami Central star.

Brother Reggie Bain was a four-year starter at FAU and is now a graduate assistant at Miami. Uncle Tolbert Bain was a four-year starting DB and won a national championship with the Hurricanes in 1987. So the family connections for Reuben and the Bain family are there.

Coach Mario Cristobal has prioritized physicality in the trenches and that is exactly what Bain brings. His intensity and motor were on full display earlier in the year vs. high powered IMG. Bain had three sacks vs. a loaded IMG offensive line that included 5 star offensive tackle and Hurricane commit Francis Mauigoa.

Rueben Bain has also helped lead Miami central to a three-peat. Bain proudly owns three state championship rings.

Discord-U has had numerous discussions about the defensive terror and the consensus has been favorable. Bain recently unofficially visited Miami on October 8th when the Hurricanes lost to UNC 27-24 at Hard Rock Stadium. Some recent momentum has picked up for the Crimson Tide and Nick Saban should be considered the lion who typically gets what he wants.

Auburn is also a challenger to the Hurricanes. And with so many potential suitors gaining ground, did the Hurricane’s sluggish start affect Miami’s momentum for Bain? Come join the OBB Legend today and gain access to Discord-U with recruiting, general discussion, x’s and o’s channels and more.
