OBBL Florida Power Poll Week 7

The OBBL Florida Power Poll Week 7 will have some customary movers and shakers. The Miami Hurricanes won and the other two thirds of the big three did not. Will it be enough to usurp their spots?

#7 USF Bulls

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #7

Record (1-6) Next Opponent: BYE. The Bulls are bad. Even Michael Jordan in his prime couldn’t help these variety. #25 Tulane beat the red cape chasing beasts 45-31. FIU and USF are sure to pass the baton for the coveted cellar dweller throne. Unless a dragon busts through the boards and burns the rest of the teams in the state (dracarys) the Bulls are confined to the dungeon.

#6 FIU Golden Panthers

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #6

Record (2-4) Next Opponent: at Charlotte. The ferocious felines lost to the most ominous mascot in the land. The Roadrunners took down FIU 30-10. MTSU played Wiley-Coyote and took an anvil to the dome when they matched up vs. UTSA so no chance FIU was going to win. If somehow they did, that made them instantly better than the Miami Hurricanes.

#5 FAU Owls

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #5

Record (3-4) Next Opponent: at UTEP. Willie Taggart’s lethal simplicity offense was left back in the bye week. The Owls won vs jasmine Rice 17-14 but managed only 311 total yards all game. N’Kosi Perry lit it up for 126 and one touchdown but hey a win is a win right? The Boca boys look to get back to .500 when they travel to face the UTEP two step. Tim Hardaway was very good.

#4 Florida Gators

Previous Rank #2

Record (4-3) Next Opponent: BYE. Listen we have been trying to tell you for the better part of five years that LSU isn’t very good. That still didn’t stop them from beating the Gators 45-35. The large lizards limp into the BYE week and are rewarded when they return with the #1 team in the land. Bayou Billy is over his skis on this one. Bulldogs by a billion.

#3 Miami Hurricanes

Previous Rank #4

Record (3-3) Next Opponent: vs. Duke. A win is a win right? The windy warriors looked amazing in the first half when they beat the Hokies 20-14 in Blacksburg. Then the second half happened and suddenly the team forgot how to play football. The Hurricanes had more penalty yards than rushing yards but fear not. The Hurricanes opened up as 8.5 favorites vs. the Dukes of Durham. Makes total sense.

#2 FSU Seminoles

Previous Rank #3

Record (4-3) Next Opponent: vs Georgia Tech. After going 4-0 I called the three game losing streak from a mile away. The chop chumps put up a nice fight vs. the Clemson Tigers but still lost 34-28. Style points matter so they still climbed one spot in the poll. The Seminoles have lost three straight by an average margin of 6 points. The Norvell renegades have a tune up game with GT before facing off with the Miami Hurricanes.

#1 UCF Knights

UNCHANGED

Previous Rank #1

Record (5-1) Next Opponent: vs. East Carolina. When you beat the team that made Al Golden famous 70-13, you deserve to stay in the top spot. The good news is when the Knights beat Temple that badly, the Miami Hurricanes wont be targeting another head coach from there. Come on people, we have a ten year deal with coach Mario. He speaks Spanish.
