Lattimore’s Double-Double Leads Canes Women Past BU 81-46

Coral Gables – Once again, the Miami women’s basketball team pushed past 80 points on the young season. This time it was the Boston University Terriers who were completely overmatched to the tune of 81-46. Sophomore Latasha Lattimore had her South Florida coming out moment as she grabbed her first double-double in a Miami uniform with 25 and 10.

Destiny Harden added 14 for the Canes which gives her double-digit point production is each game this season. The final score could have been more lopsided, but the Canes had issues in the 2nd and 4th quarters as they only shot a combined 33%. As expected, Miami dominated in the paint as they outscored the Terriers 40-20 and added 44 rebounds.

Lattimore eclipsed the 20-point mark for the first time in her career with a layup in the final minutes of the third. In that same quarter, Miami put together it’s first 20-0 run of the season which was highlighted by three Destiny Harden three-pointers.

Miami closes out its four-game homestand to open the season on Wednesday when it hosts Florida Atlantic at the Watsco Center. Tipoff is 6 p.m. and the game will air on the ACC Network.

The Legend Staff is comprised of some of the hungriest young writers in South Florida. They are the cogs in the Legend engine that nobody knows. If you need to put a face to them, think minions with Canes tattoos. Unless thinking that is a copyright violation. In that case just think of them as worker ants. Easily removed with a magnifying glass if they get out of line.
