OFFENSE – With Tyler Van Dyke on the mend from his injury, Jacurri Brown was tasked as the starting (and only) quarterback. Jaylan Knighton had a season-high 40 snaps, nearly 4-times as much as the second on the list. The main rotation at Wide Receiver and Tight End weren’t surprising. However, along the offensive line, there were 10 individual players that got snaps.
DEFENSE – The defense had some extra bodies on display across the board, with a majority of young players getting snaps on Georgia Tech’s final drive, when the ball game was already in hand. Most notably, in the defensive secondary and on the defensive line. Wesley Bissainthe saw his first start of the season and his highest snap count of the season. I don’t expect much of a change there.
It’s so much more pleasurable to write these pieces after victories. The Canes came out and plays nearly a complete, four quarter game. And it was nice to see. It was nice to see the kids happy. It was nice see Coach Mario Cristobal happy.
