Collins Acheampong Flips to Miami!

Collins Acheampong Flips to Miami!

Are you not entertained?! Arguably the most important off-season in Miami Hurricanes history starts off with a BANG.

Coach Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes flip 4-star Defensive End Collins Acheampong (Rancho Santa Margarita Catholic in California) from Coach Harbaugh and Michigan.

Acheampong credits his relationship with the Miami coaching staff as the best he had. The relentless Miami pursuit allowed the flip although he was committed to Michigan 4 months.

Coming in at 6-foot-7, 254 pounds, Acheampong brings a size and athleticism that Coach Cristobal is looking for in the trenches. Acheampong is a consensus 4-star and ranked as the nation’s number 14 athlete, according to 247Sports. He joins a class that has another elite DE recruit in IMG’s Jayden Wayne.

The Miami Hurricanes now have 20 commits in the 2023 class. Acheampong’s commitment now brings in the 11th blue chip recruit who has a consensus ranking of four star or greater. Cormani McClain and Francis Mauigoa are the lone five stars in a class that is pursuing a top 5 spot.

At this point, if a recruit is still on Miami’s board, they are not safe. If Coach Cristobal can flip a kid from a potential CFP team, coming fresh off of a blow-out win at the hands of Ohio State, he can flip anyone.
