The OBB Welcomes U: Christopher Johnson
The Orange Bowl Boys welcome Christopher Johnson to the University of Miami. The 5’11” Blur in blue from Dillard high school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida committed on December 11th 2022. Johnson was recruited primarily by running backs coach Kevin Smith and also held offers from Clemson, Alabama, UF, FSU, UGA, Oregon and Michigan.
Johnson is fast. Really fast. Like gold medal in the Florida’s 3A track meet in both 100 and 200 meter dash fast. The speedy tailback is a member of the ESPN 300 and is listed as the 19th best athlete in the country. The OBB tribe ranks Johnson an OBB Four Orange Recruit.

The running back room has some questions coming in as both Don Chaney Jr. and TreVonte’ Citizen are both coming off injuries in 2022. You add the fact the rooster flew the coup and Johnson has a good shot to utilize his speed early here. You can’t teach his type of speed. At the very least he can factor greatly in special teams.
“You think when the rooster saw Johnson’s film that’s when he decided to call Rhett Lashlee?”
“Bro, you just got to let it go.”
