The OBB Welcomes U: Francis Mauigoa
The Orange Bowl Boys welcome Francis Mauigoa to the University of Miami. The 6’5″ 330 pound Polynesian powerhouse played his high school ball at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Alex Mirabal and Joe Salave’a are listed as recruiters for Mauigoa who had offers from essentially EVERYONE. 31 offers to be exact which included Alabama, UGA, Texas, Michigan, LSU, Florida and USC.
Mauigoa is a rare and special athlete who is destined for big things at Miami. When you have an 81-inch wing span you’ll make condors blush. He runs a 5.3 in the 40-yard dash which is plenty fast for a big man. It’s way faster than Toast if you were wondering. Mauigoa is an ESPN 300 recruit and listed as the number one overall offensive tackle in the country. An obvious OBB Five Orange Recruit.

When Mario Cristobal came to the University of Miami you knew two things were going to be true. He was going to recruit and he was going to stockpile talent along the offensive line. The addition of Mauigoa is outstanding. A potential first round talent who will no doubt be compared to Mario product Penei Sewell of the Detroit Lions.
“When is the last time we pulled a 5 star from IMG?”
“This kid reminds me of Maui.”
“Bro, you have issues.”
“You’re welcome.”
