The OBB Welcomes U: Marcellius Pulliam

The Orange Bowl Boys welcome Marcellius Pulliam to the University of Miami. This OBB Three Orange Recruit is from Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, Georgia. He committed to the Miami Hurricanes on December 3, 2022. Charlie Strong was listed as the primary recruiter for Pulliam.

Pulliam held 25 offers, including the likes of Louisville, Mississippi State and Auburn to name a few. Pulliam also ran track in high school, running a 12.06 time in the 100-meter dash earlier in the year. He was a name that wasn’t familiar to Miami fans prior to his commitment.

There seems to be a “size and athleticism” theme happening in the Linebackers room with Pulliam measuring in at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds. That was clearly a point of weakness with this position group and Coach Cristobal and his loafers are looking to remedy that.

“He sounds like a gladiator.”

“Why because Russel Crowe was Maximus Decimus Meridius in the movie Gladiator?”

“Maybe…”

“As long as he plays like a gladiator I don’t care what his name is.”
