The OBB Welcomes U: Robby Washington

The Orange Bowl Boys welcome Robby Washington to the University of Miami. The 5’10″ 185 pound wide receiver from Miami Palmetto High School in Miami, Florida committed to the Hurricanes on March 24th, 2022. Washington is a OBB Four Orange Recruit and was recruited by Mario Cristobal. Held offers from Louisville, Alabama, UF, FSU, and Georgia among others.

This projected athlete is the type that can make you right by simply putting the ball in his hands.  You can see elite return skills, elusiveness, and a willingness to compete and make plays at multiple positions on the football field. Washington is an old-school Cane (Roscoe Parrish anybody?) and a perfect example of the “by any means necessary” competitor that Miami is looking to fill the roster with. Also a member of the top ESPN 300.

The wide receiver room is seeing some attrition with the departures of Keyshawn Smith, Romello Brinson, and potentially others before the 2023 season kicks off. The incoming freshman has a great chance to make a splash with immediate playing time as he possesses the versatility to change a football game at any moment from multiple positions on the field. He is a top athlete nationally and truly a home-run threat from the moment he steps on campus.

“What made me commit to Miami is family. They treat me like I’m family so there’s no bigger rule-other than that.” -Robby Washington

“He looks a lot like his brother.”

“They are twins dummy.”
