The OBB Welcomes U: Samson Okunlola

The Orange Bowl Boys welcome Samson Okunlola to the University of Miami. This OBB Five Orange Recruit is from Thayer Academy in Brockton, Massachusetts. He committed to the Miami Hurricanes on December 15, 2022. Alex Mirabal was listed as the primary recruiter for Okunlola.

You like pancakes? You like them with a side of Gator tears? The Loafers deliver. Okunlola’s commitment came on the heels of an Official Visit to the University of Florida and had Alabama and Michigan State hats on the table as well. Okunlola is the 16th overall player and the 3rd rated Offensive Tackle in the nation, according to ESPN. Also a member of the ESPN 300.

You want size on the offensive line? This massive human is 6-foot-5, 305 pounds. Rarely does someone personify their nickname as well as Samson Okunlola personifies “Honcho”. Did I mention he wrestles too? He finished ninth at the National Prep Wrestling Championships as a heavyweight in the spring. Okunlola can very well come in and compete for major playing time as a true freshman and has first-round NFL potential.

“He needs to get an NIL deal from IHOP.”

“He has the best nickname for an offensive lineman since…..well….since EVER.”
